Northern California artist and designer Katie O’Shea creates rich, textured botanical illustrations inspired by the natural world around her. Her practice remains intentionally hands-on. Mornings often begin with a sketchbook and whatever material feels right that day, from fine-line ink drawings to watercolor or gouache. Rather than following a rigid plan, Katie allows the materials and the act of drawing to lead the way.

Through observation, craft, and a love of pattern, Katie’s wallpapers bring the character of the original artwork to the scale of a room.
